The story behind TIER1ONE

Tim, the founder of TIER1ONE, has been a mechanical engineer for many years. His career led him into demanding development projects, including work for the German Armed Forces – even on assignments in Pakistan. Much of that remains deliberately in the background, but one thing became clear: technology must work reliably, no matter the conditions. That’s where his fascination for military systems, rugged mechanics, and functional equipment was born.

Later, Tim transitioned—like many who come from a military-technical background—into operational service with the fire department. Today, he works in the technical division and as an incident commander at one of the largest professional fire brigades in Germany. The combination of military technology, tactical understanding, and daily responsibility in emergency operations continues to shape his perspective to this day.

What never faded, however, was his passion for the military, for firearms, and for precise engineering. Over many years, Tim designed AR-15 platforms for a renowned German manufacturer—work that further refined his understanding of materials, manufacturing, and functional perfection.

TIER1ONE was born from this very passion. From the conviction that people in tactical, military, or law-enforcement environments deserve equipment that truly fits their world—and from the frustration that there were hardly any high-quality, authentic products for this in the German-speaking market.

That’s why TIER1ONE develops not only functional components and rugged gear, but also tactical apparel: hoodies, shirts, and designs that don’t look like fashion trends, but reflect the identity of the people who work, serve, or live in this field. Clothing that shows attitude—without being loud.
